Is Everyone Burnt Out?

Is Everyone Burnt Out?

Maybe It’s Time to Slow Down.

01 — When Rest Became Another Task

Be honest, your morning routine has a morning routine.

Wake up, brush your teeth, wash your face, do your skincare, and have a cup of coffee (or tea - whatever works for you). Check your phone, but not too much, because you should unplug from social media. Meditate. Stretch. Journal. You should relax and enjoy some “me time”.

Sound familiar? At some point, even resting started to come with instructions. The relaxing, aesthetic morning routine has become so normalized that anything outside of it can almost feel like we're doing it wrong.

Maybe you don't wake up at 6 a.m.
Maybe you don't meditate.
Maybe your breakfast isn't beautiful enough for Pinterest.
Maybe your “me time” is simply drinking coffee in bed while scrolling through your phone.

And that's okay.

Because taking care of yourself shouldn't feel like another task on your to-do list.

02 — Are We Doing Too Much?

Wake up. Go to work. Seize the day.

That sounds like a lot of pressure, right?

Do we need to achieve greatness everyday? Do we need to check things off a list to feel successful? Am I enjoying my life correctly?

Without noticing, we started measuring everything. Our productivity. Our sleep. Our steps. Our screen time. Our skincare. Even our rest. When every aspect of your life has its own KPI, selfcare can start to feel less like taking care of yourself and more like managing yourself.

But you are not a project.

You don't need to optimize every part of your life. Not every day needs to be productive. Not every routine needs to be perfect. And not every moment needs to have a purpose.

03 — What a Slow Reset Actually Looks Like

To slow down is to find your own pace. It’s less about achieving something, and more about reconnecting with yourself. There is no need to submit any reports on how relaxed we are.

When we slow down the most important thing is to notice how you feel. There is no one-size-fits-all approach. For some, it might mean taking a longer shower. For others, it's smelling the scent of their favorite body cream. Applying a face mask. Enjoying the sun. You don’t have to measure your happiness. You’re allowed to just enjoy it.

04 — Build Your Own Slow Ritual

So maybe slowing down isn't about changing your entire life. Maybe it starts with changing the way you experience the little things.

If you enjoy a longer shower, here is the duo for you:

Take your time to massage your scalp, breathe in the soft, nature-inspired scent, and let yourself stay under the water for a few extra minutes.

Want to doomscroll? Maybe try on a modeling mask instead. Or do both. This is a safe space, no one is judging.

Give your skin 10–20 minutes to rest — and use the time however you want.

Scroll. Listen to music. Do nothing. It's your time.

So, don’t worry about measuring your rest. Just slow down and feel it.
